LABECO - Cooperative Laboratory for Artistic and Ecological Practices
LABECO is an informal training framework for adults, artists, and art professionals designed to foster the acquisition of ecological knowledge applicable within the context of artistic practice workshops, with a particular focus on “priority” audiences. It is supported by the European Union and carried out by DDA CONTEMPORARY ART, in collaboration with O Gabinete De Madame Thao, based in Lisbon. It is coordinated by Constance Meffre, assisted by Melanie Degas, and by Sandrine Llouquet, assisted by Charlotte Patoux. With selected participating artists: André Almeida e Sousa, Laurent Eisler, Nina Fraser, Mélanie Métier, Aurore Pelisson & Rita Thomaz.
With visits and talks to Largo Residências, Osso Coletivo, Tinctorium Studio, Casa da Cerca - Centro de Arte Contemporânea, A Base, Stolen Books and Quinta das Relvas in Portugal, and LUMA Arles, Ateliers Jeanne Barret, Mas Baudran, Noise Paper in Marseille.
