Empty Spaces Between Ladders - Through the looking glass

As part of Marco Fedele di Catrano’s exhibition Empty Spaces Between Ladders, artists Daphne Frühmann and Nina Fraser invite visitors to join a guided tour through his works.

What happens when a contemporary artist enters the in-between spaces of the museum? This tour takes you on an embodied walk through the artworks, offering different lenses that connect art and science. What if we use a mycelial methodology to make sense of how we perceive the space we inhabit? What alternative perspectives might this reveal?

Through prompt questions, participants are encouraged to reflect on the lenses we use in daily life. Together, we’ll reflect on the sculptures and how they inhabit the museum. How do they change how we perceive the museum’s spaces? What new ways of seeing do these artworks suggest? How might a shift in spatial awareness change the way we move through the environment around us?
