Nina Fraser (b. 1984, St. Albans, UK) is an artist based in Greater Lisbon. 
Her practice explores the relationships between memory, ecology, community and systems of knowledge. Working across installation, experimental drawing, collage, and participatory projects, Nina investigates how people, places and more-than-human environments shape one another through processes of exchange, adaptation and contingency. Ecological thinking acts as a framework for understanding interdependence, resilience and collective forms of art making, and how memory, place, and ecological systems overlap. Recent residencies and projects include a strange loop (Osso collective, Caldas da Rainha, 2026); It's a Gas (PostROOM, London & Bruton, 2026); ENCONTROS w/ Marta Angelozzi (Air 351, Cascais, + ABASE, Lisbon, 2025); and Deliquesce (Art Room, Lisbon, 2024).
She holds a Postgraduate Degree in Curating and Commissioning Public Art from HDK-Valand, University of Gothenburg, and a BA in Textile Art from Winchester School of Art, University of Southampton. Her work is held in public collections in Portugal and private collections worldwide. Her collages have been published in numerous publications including Collage Care; Transforming Emotions & Life Experiences, (2021) published by Kanyer Publishing LLC.
Alongside her studio practice, she works as an educator and mentor, as well as artistic coordinator of Art & Craft Refúgio at Largo Residências, supporting migrant and refugee communities through the practice of art. In 2025, she participated in LABECO, a European funded collaborative project focused on artistic and ecological practices between Marseille and Lisbon.
