Mixed media collage / water based painting FULL DAY WORKSHOP 

Working within the medium of paper, including collage, decollage, and basic watercolour application, you will learn how to effectively mix your media in this workshop that introduces various techniques to expand your creative repertoire and challenge traditional methods. Working in layers, using experimental formats of glueing, including wet pasting, you will discover new ways to transform imagery and combine different techniques of collage and water based painting within your own work. Channelling both intuitive and conscious decision making processes you will learn to create visual connections though assorted imagery, taking with you an assortment of new inspired methods to assist projects or influence new work.

All materials provided. No other preparation is required. Limited to 5 participants.

Morning session 10-1pm:
Collage techniques, glueing methods, working with water

Lunch break 1 - 2pm
Afternoon Session 2 - 5pm:
Using techniques to expand on personal work, ideas and concepts 
This workshop is designed for all, from the beginner to the professional artist looking for a different way to process ideas. Reservations can be made by making payment through the link below. The workshop is not suited to children under 14 years. 

About the Artist: Nina Fraser (1984) b. St.Albans, Hertfordshire, UK, graduated in Textile Art from Winchester College of Arts (UK) in 2006 and completed the non accredited online course Art + Critique: Critical & Contextual Studies in Art Practice (Sophia Kosmauglou, Goldsmiths University, UK) in 2021. Individual exhibitions include: Home, Espaço Cultural Mercês, Lisbon, Portugal (2021); TAXIS DERMA, Museum of Natural Science and History, Lisbon, Portugal (2019); and Sublime, Mute, Lisbon, Portugal (2019). Nina’s collages have been published in magazines and books, most recently “Collage Care: Transforming Emotions & Life Experiences” edited by Kanyer Art Collection, 2021. Nina’s work is represented in public and private collections in Portugal and worldwide. She lives and works in Portugal, and teaches workshops internationally.
